| Description | The programme offers different itineraries and long descents. Snowy slopes of Elbrus have everything for exciting ski-descents. Average grade of steepness is about 15-20 degrees and the glaciers are covered with snow. The final part of this trip is ascent of Mt.Elbrus and descent from the top by ski. In this case the length of descend is about 25 km and altitude change is 2500m.

| Itinerary | Day 1
Arrive in Mineralnye Vody. A Lenalptours guide will be waiting for you at the airport. Bus trip to the Baksan valley(4,5h.). Check into a hotel (2000m).
A hotel is situated in the village of Terskol in a beautiful pine forest. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, with a toilet and a shower.
Day 2
Acclimatization and downhill skiing on Cheget (3050m). Two chairlifts up to 2980m. Skitour to 3400m. We will have a panoramic view of the Baksan valley and the twin summits of Mt.Elbrus. The hotel.
Day 3
Transfer to the cable-car station Azau. Lift to the Garabashi station (3750m). Skitour to the Azau glacier-pass (3500m) 5-6 hrs. Skiing down to Terskol. The hotel.
Day 4
Transfer to the cable-car station Azau (2200m). Lift to Elbrus to the Garabashi station (3750m). Majestic panorama of Central Caucasus is opened here. Ascent by ski to the Pastukhov Rocks (4800m). Descend by ski to Azau. The hotel.
Day 5
Transfer to the cable-car station Azau (2200m). Lift to Elbrus to Garabashi station (3750m). Ascent by ski to 3500m. Descend by ski to the Barrels. Hut. Acclimatization hike to 4200m where used to be Priut 11. We spend there some houres and then return to the Barrels Hut. Overnight there.
The Barrels Hut - it is situated on Elbrus slope close to the Garabashi lift station at 3750m. These are small houses shaped like barrels to stay in. There is a sleeping room with 6 beds and a small room with a wardrobe, a table and chairs in every house. There is a canteen with kitchen in a separate hut. There is no shower, toilets are in a separate hut.
Day 6
Today we make an attempt to reach either Eastern or Western summit of Mt.Elbrus. Breakfast at 2 at night. Start at 3. There may be a need in the cramps. It takes us 10-12 hours after an early start before dawn. During the ascent we have some stops for eating and rest. The guides look after the clients’ physical and moral conditions. The most difficult parts of the itinerary are near the Pastukhov Rocks, altitude 4800-5000m. In the end of our way is the wide plato where it is usually very windy, and finally we reach the Summit! Descent to the Barrels Hut. Overnight in the hut.
Day 7
Return to the Baksan Valley. Having some rest. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 8
Drive to Mineralnye Vody. Departure.
